Hillingdon Autumn Duathlon 8th November. Enter Now!
Hillingdon Duathlon entries are now open for November. It filled up very quickly last year, so would be nice for Comet’s to enter early to have a good turnout as it’s one of the last races of the year. Link below:
The last of the Sunday duathlons on the Hillingdon cycle circuit, traffic free, is on 8th Nov, age groups from 8 and under to adults, last year they had over 200+ competitors mainly children (there was only about 20 adults out of this number) so early entry is needed especially for the childrens races, please pass the message on to other Comet members as these races are ideal for novice and very experienced triathletes.
Another post from Hillingdon on their FB page about a bike study which might be of interest to some of the parents/children of the club:- Details below
A student (Zoe Magnall) at Brunel University is running a study on bicycle setup in children who compete in cycling or triathlon races. She is looking for children between 8-16 years. Testing will take about an hour and children/parents will receive a report about their recommended position on the bike. I'm not aware of anyone else performing bicycle setup in children, so this is quite a unique opportunity.
If you know of anyone who might be interested, please e-mail the head of department at email@example.com
Needless to say that the study has been approved by the University's Research Ethics Committee and all researchers involved have been DBS/CRB checked.
