Greetings from Cervinia, Italy! Yesterday there was a great mornings racing for all the little Comet novice Duathlon racers.
Under difficult conditions, windy, raining throughout and an undulating course everyone accounted very well for themselves, I was really proud of each and every one of them. Star performance went to Ben Bisson who raced as a Comet coming third overall in his age category. There was the biggest turnout of the club juniors racing in this early season opener. All provisional results are up on Hillingdons website. Congratulations to, Cloe Hoseason, Lucy Hoseason, George Turner, Kyle Ruth, Calum Ruth, Monty Savarino, Nathan Prior, BenTaplin, Jessica Lillywhite, Poppy Jensen. Also Spencer Bateman who trains with us at the track raced well for Turbos. Business as usual even though I'm away. There's the Tuesday swim and Turbo at the track on Wednesday for those wanting to ride and run.
Here's a race to enter that doesn't involve water!
Dave from Hillingdon Triathletes has asked that I let you know that their Family Duathlon on the 29th March will stop taking entries at the end of the week. If anyone is keen to enter they need to do so quickly as the events are very close to full. As some of you will remember last year we did this a the first race for Comets and there was a good turn out. I'm entering so hopefully a few others will do so. Click here
